So I haven't updated my LJ is literally forever so I figured I should go and give that a shot.

Well Lots has happened since the last time. I am officially done school and unoficially a graduate of the Humber College Comedy Writing and Performance Program so yay college diploma for me! I am 3 weeks in to a lovely job at the beaches for the summer it's amazing. It may just be changing garbage and scrubbing toilets but the pay is sweet and the beach is beautiful! The people are great so I really am happy there.

I have finally deciced that I would like to return to doing stand up and have refound my ambition, drive and passion for this industry so I've been thinking like crazy and planning and now I am in the process of actually starting to write some stuff.

I ran into Rob Trick at the beach yesterday with his little boy (what a cutie) and we had a quick chat and he said I seemed happy and I realized that for the first time in a long time I actually am. being done school helped a lot and this job knowing I'll have the money and therefore the financial means to accomplish some of my many goals makes me ecstatic. I am eager to know what will happen in the fall job wise there are a few possibilities right now so it's just seeing what raelly opens up and happens for me well more so what I make happen.

In a few weeks I'll be starting my fourth summer doing Audience Assistant at SFA which I am also very excited about because I love it there and the challenges and stuff it brings.

So current projects over the next few months

1) Beach job
2) Comedy Inc.
3) Sketch stuff (you'll hear more about this)
4) Movie script(s) (so many ideas so I gotta take time and focus on the few I am building)
5) Return to stand up comedy! and of course writing that material
6) Finding work for the fall
7) Headshots! and getting an agent! YAY!


So that's all for me for now... in terms of the boy situation... I'm unloved but whatev that's not my focus right now not into relationships although I do wish things went a little different than they did with a certain someone. oh well! Everything happens for a reason!

SO I've been thinking a lot about a LOT of stuff lately because I have had excessive amounts of extra thinking time on my hands as of late with rehersals and a good deal of waiting around. Now I've always been an everything happens for a reason kinda gal and regardless of how depressed I can get over things always later conclude that everything happens for the best or at least a good reason (Stuart will agree with me on this). But I've realized that if I believe in this theory my actions are often times quite silly I try and control things far to often and guide situations... and I've realized especially in the last few months that things always happen when you let go of the situation and just let things happen. The only problem with letting things go is life itself gets more scary because you do lose control.. following me still? Like for example back in December when I was super worked up about psychology class and the reality of failing my gen ed which at the time seemed inevidible... and the two major tests I had to take the last class.. and I knew in my heart I couldn't get all the stuff.. so instead of frantically flipping throuogh the pages of my text book before the test began I sat back and laughed (to the point class mates thought I was senile) and just breathed and decided whats done is done.. I let it be.. I took the test and answered as I could I didn't worry about it and I aced them both and passed the class all because I relaxed and let things happen.

Situation 2... reccently.. I thought I'd screwed things up with someone... completely lost all chance with them.. so I quit worrying about it knowing full well I couldn't change someone elses opinion of me or thoughts on the situation and came to terms with moving on... shortly after everything started to work out again.

So I come across situation 3.. having a lot to do with that person.. but it means more this time around there's more at stake and its a bigger situation in general.. I can either go with something or not go with it. I miss being a kid a lot, things were so easy than and I had my whole life a head of me (not that I still don't) but most things have happened like a lot of firsts and stuff so its kinda weird, and sometimes saying yes or no to something seems like a lot bigger of a deal and wanting to do something and actually knowing whether or not you should do something are two completely different things. Confused? ya me too. But.. the moral of the story is just live... and let things happen and never have regrets because it all happens for a reason. I think I just answered my own question.

I'm glad this LJ update will make sense to no one lol.

Alright so Stuart has been on me to update... what he wants me to say I have absolutely no idea... there is nothing going on... finished 2 weeks of rehersals for a show adn than did the show... I wish I were in it more but basically I had like 9 lines..so I just had two weeks of tons of hours of school with nothing to show for it my fault almost entirely but whatever. The show itself was awesome due mostly to a few people being extremly dedicated and hard working which I admire them for greatly.. I was confused through much of the process so I just let it be which was a dumb idea. I still can't wait until I'm done school I just want to be able to go and work so much and instead I am stuck going to class but I've realized that I don't really need to go to pass because there are many people who rarely attend classes but have managed to make it through the last year and a half just fine and hey manage to be in a good deal of the show whilst NEVER attending class so really whats the point? Well actually the entire point would be learning and I do enjoy several of my classes or at least hearing stuff in them.. I miss phys comm.. like last year type phys comm what happened to clown? Anyway that's pretty much it.. so its back to school for this week and than reading week not really sure of any major plans over that .. I'll probably just go into Air Farce the entire week LOL..... why I like randomly making a zillion phones calls to book an audience I haven't the slightest clue I think I just like being there... I can't wait til the Olympics are over so we actually start having Thursday night tapings...


Hmm what else to say... It's Valentines day.... so.. ya.. I don't really like the day. It's colour scheme is lovely but I never have real reason to celebrate love of sorts so I tend to not care. uhhh, yea okay thats enough Stu, LOL I have nothing else going on really....

and before ya say it.. ya I know... but what's there to say if I haven't talked to him?

2) I am leaving the country in or around September... project TBA... but I am either way. Right now I am weighing some options and trying harcore to get into something I know is IMPOSSIBLE but I'll do it... I always find a way.

Well as the title says its nearly the end of 2005, what a year it seems to have flown by. Hmm lets take a look back at what Crystal accomplished.

January- I don't even remember much of this month so it could't have been cool.oh started a "life change" I hate calling it a diet cuz thats soo short term and I wanted to change habits not temporarily not eat things... and excerise program.
February- I turned 19 Yay! I could finally drink legally and did that night in fact not much because at the time I wasn't into drinking but Katie and Stuart went out with me and saw a movie and had drinks a pretty nice birthday all in all... not much else happened that month.
March- when did march happe? hmm... it was Marchy. Oh yea and we did our first humber sketch comedy show which was an amazing experience! Kick ass after party which sparked my love for drinking.
April- finished my first year of college marks wise I didn;t do too bad.
May- started work at the city met Ashley who is awesome and was cool to have around all summer in fact I miss her now often times. not much else to note this much.. katie and I hung out some... thats always good.
June same deal as May work work work. Missed school a lot!
july- still working a the city but also working for SFA for comedy inc. which was cool tonz o fun with Selby til all hours mocking him for his love of dancing with the stars. IT was all great but really long days I'd start at 6:30AM and finish around 11/11:30PM... so sleep and work basically.
August- the same as July basically a lot of work work work.
September started school and began and I missed work a lot but it was cool being back.
October- just school and began work at Air Farce which was awesome.
November- More school and Air farce.
DEcember- busiest month ever! first sketch show out of 3 this school year and an amazing after party to follow it.. God love the people I go to school with everyone is ultra talented and awesome to party with. Christmas was lovely.. got a few cool things like an MP3 player and a desk chair were the highlights. and now its the end of the month..

Relationships/ relations.. were interesting this year... had a kinda something weird over the summer not a relationship really but interesting happenings none the less. Around October I though I was getting somewhere with another individual I had a thing for since September 04' but that person is now (today) deleted from my list which will please some of you (Stuart) I'm sure. October I met someone awesome and such and saw him a few times Oct-DEc... but for some reason the last time I saw him (just b4 xmas) got scared I guess and decided I couldn't have a relationship right now (cuz I am retarded and busy) and told him he should probabl move on because I am not in a place to have a good relationship right now... Well I kinda fount out today he is going to be seeing someone and for some reason it hurt a bit I don;t know why.. I mean I am glad he listened to me but its like... it could've been me and it could have been real and good for once and I've gone and messed that up.. Stuart tell me I've done the right thing. Because I don't know why I am doubting my decisions. I think its kind of sad I delted the other individual at one time I really liked him also but I can't toy with concepts and peple who want nothing to do with me.... I guess I thought he was someone different but he seemd determined to make himself otherwise. That only made sense to me I know. I don't want a relationship right now I don't need one.. if someone interested came along I may take it as it comes but I am by no means looking for anything right now... there are other things to focus on. It is kinda sad that for once I don't like anyone... its good I guess because I should focus on other things.. but its nice to like someone and I dunno strive for something? I make no sense I'll hush now... this code written journal entry sux.. sorry. 2006 will be better but 2005 was rockin.

Okay so this entry will be a dissapointment to anyone reading it for the title. I do not nor have I owned a pie in reccent days but I thought it could be a catchy title non the less. The last two weeks have been insanely intense and busy I've hardly had time to do a thing and I've been really sick through it as well which made it more difficult but I loves a challenge.

After two weeks of writing, pitching, rewriting and rehersing the hell out of sketches us second year comedy kids put on a show yester-eve to a fairly decent crowd in the auditorium of Humber Lakeshore the show was called "Get Laughs or Die Trying". I was in 3 sketches, one of which I wrote another that I co-wrote and another one I was cast it. The one I cowrote was a cheesy kids performer rap to teach left from right with the subliminal message of recruiting elementary schoolers into the army. It was realy fun to perform the entire joke of it was really just in how ridiculous Geoff and I performed it but it was fun to do. The other one I wrote was a spoof of a kid going to see santa and I of course cast myself as a child... I love playing a kid its awesome. The third sketch I was in was this Ballroom Fantasy thing I got to play a lady bug which is the highlight of my life to this point... I was ridiculously excited about getting to be a lady bug... I think I told everyone this several hundred times but I liked it! I'm going to see if we can get a video of it as it was taped and I know a couple people said that wanted to come but couldn't so ya.

After the show we partied it up at Evolution this random bar across from the school. It was awesome. It can't not be amazing when EVERYONE comes out and becomes drunk assholes... its awesome. I probably made an ass of myself dancing all night but who cares it was fun.... and it's Geoff's fault if I did... he needed a dance buddy.... I'd be a bitch to say no. It's all good.

Anyway during this whole two week process I became sick.... my stupid asthma started giving me some major issues... the first weekend of it (Dec 3/4) I felt really bad and couldn't breathe... so I jut got locked in my house the weekend... except Saturday morning when I was forced into going to the Walk in clinic at my Doctors office... saw a doctor who gave the me the evil drugs I hate... but need when I'm sick like that. She told me I had to come back when the xray thing opened monday AM. Monday rolls around and I head their bright and early to confirm what we figured was a partial collapsed lung and or pnemonia. I bring the xrays up to her and she takes them than comes back out and says it looks like a pretty bad partial collapse and sends me to ER. GRR which bugged me cuz I had rehersals.. It was early enough that EMERG wasn't too busy they took me to fast track (they usually do when its lung and breathing things) I got more xrays their the woman said it didnt look like a partial collapse any more on those ones there was damage so possibly was one on the weekend which is fixed. It wasn't good though so they gave me 3 ventolin masks and I was released... and I headed off to rehersals. I had a follow up appt. with my regular doctor scheduled for Wednesday to see if he needed to renew the drugs or what have ya. Wednesday whilst at rehersals my mom called and said that the ER had called back (weird!) and said there was a problem with the xrays. a radiologist checked them and I have fluid on my left lung and possibly the right and advised me to see my dr ASAP which wasn't an issue cuz I had the apt booked already. he extended the prescription and added something else, than said I had to see a lung specialist and get a CT scan of my lungs or something to confirm the issue so I have to see them Thursday. I am also told to go for blood tests which I need to do b4 thursday so I may have to go tommorow for that EWW that scares me soo much! Than this thursday I have to go to the specialist , my family doctor (follow ups) and another Doctor.. 3 in 1 day! awesome eh? what concerns me more is that there are 12 days til XMAS!!!!!! I have done nothing XMAS is my fav time of the year and I am completely un preapred this year it makes me sad I want to decorate and wrap things and GRR I haven't had the time... but I shall find it and decorate and have a damn good one at that.

It's scary to think that 2005 is almost over! WOW. Anyway I think thats all for now.... I know its been a while since I had a real update at all but this will safice. I'll update again soon.

So here I am tuesday night and I am at home... where should I be? Up at Yuk's yepp I was sheculed for tonight. Didn't end up going, in all honesty I hadn't prepared so I wasn't too excited to go up tonight to begin with because yuks' should be the place ya do good. But really I didn't go because of these constand head pains. 6 weeks of daily headaches are consuming my life. Its now spread to my face... started effecting my neck last week and I can't take it anymore.. it's like really painful when they come and just makes me exhausted all the time. FUCK! I am fucking myself over soo much .... I need to be doing comedy I do, but lately I am in such a lull I can't find material I can't think of stuff for stage. Sure I may do funny stuff in conversations with people and stuff but can't pin point how I can transfer that to stage.. I dunno maybe it's self doubt at this point and it needs to shut the fuck up cuz its discouraging me! :( fuck.... I am soo screwed.. Well LIVING Well tommorow for sure! No pressure there at all.. I like sets away from everyone.... I am comfortable performing in front of stragers... thats easy. But seriously these head pains are gonna kill me.
